Primary Movement 3.0 Workshop

  • The Breathe Building 2305 Southeast 50th Avenue Portland, OR, 97215 United States (map)

Primary Movement 3.0—an Alexander Technique & embodied anatomy through movement **workshop**

Every body comes with an intrinsic dynamic design that is built to move freely and rest simultaneously. This workshop will support you in returning to this innate ease in your current movement practices—yoga, strength & conditioning, dance, qigong, etc.—as well as other daily life tasks like gardening, parenting, and working at a computer.

Taking a previous Primary Movement workshop is not necessary to take this workshop—all are welcome. For those of you who have taken a prior Primary Movement series before, PM 3.0 will once again be a fresh look and experience! We will be diving more deeply into specific areas of the body to support shifting your personal experiences of stiffness, tension, pain, or confusion in the body.

The workshop will offer:

- Focused movement warm up

- Embodied functional anatomy education

- Hands-on Alexander Technique to support easing tension

- Practical tools for increasing sensory awareness & whole-body coordination
